Carwow has responded to its recently acquired manufacturer partnerships with the appointment of Hasan Nergiz as director of OEM and Jon Davies head of OEM.

Carwow’s strong links with industry have also come to the fore in a new partnership with JD Power, publisher of the UK Car Customer Satisfaction Index, for a series of events.

Over the past 12 months, the business has established formal partnerships with eight manufacturers who now benefit from the sharing of data insights from carwow’s 2.4million monthly visitors and have finance calculators on the carwow site to offer consumers monthly quotes.

The independent car buying site has appointed Hasan Nergiz as director of OEM, while Jon Davies is now head of OEM (UK).

Nergiz, who joined carwow in 2017 from BMW, is now tasked with expanding those OEM relationships into Europe, via carwow’s operations in Germany. Meanwhile, Davies, who joined 12 months ago from Nissan, will be focused on creating more and growing current OEM partnerships in the UK.

Nergiz said: “In a very short space of time since we started engaging with manufacturers, carwow is already a valuable partner in the industry.

“We are providing vital data to manufacturers from a new audience of car buyers. Technology has presented us with opportunities to engage like never before and carwow’s reputation is very strong.

“With a bigger team, now we can really ramp up our efforts in building closer working relationships with manufacturers in the UK and abroad.”

Davies said: “The industry is changing at a fast pace and manufacturers need to keep pace with the public’s changing purchasing habits and preferences.

"Carwow is uniquely placed to help OEMs understand where car buying is at in 2019 and where it’s going. Together, we are forming strong partnerships with real value.”
