Shoreham Vehicle Auctions has pledged to raise a minimum of £10,000 for The Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice with its latest annual charity auctions.

As part of its 10th anniversary annual fundraising efforts, SVA will be hosting charity vehicle auctions on November 23 (cars) and November 24 (vans) in a revised format.

This year, auctions will purely feature vehicles and will only be accessible to SVA trade customers either bidding online or in limited numbers on site.

The vehicle remarketing operator said it’s calling on dealers across Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey to donate running cars and vans, regardless of age, shape and size, with or without a MoT.

Catherine Stone, business development manager at Shoreham Vehicle Auctions, said: “Our 10th year of supporting The Chestnut Tree House comes under very different circumstances during such unprecedented times.

“As individuals and businesses, we recognise just how tough it is for everyone right now but at a time when they probably need us most, we wanted to continue our support of CTH.

“We hope that may inspire others amongst our community and beyond to do the same. Any support – on matter how big or small - is welcome.”

Last year, SVA raised £150,000 for the charity, with the help from donations made by Yeomans Group, Tates, Caffyns, Dinnages, Frosts, Dees Croydon and Vanfair.

Based in Arundel, The Chestnut Tree House cares for 300 life-limited children, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

The hospice offers several types of support which includes end of life care; psychological and bereavement support; and short-break care.

Anyone with a car to gift to the charity auction or to donate can email catherine@shorehamvehicleauctions.com or call 01903 851200.
