More than 1,000 VW Group vehicles were offered for sale at BCA Perry Barr on August 21, the largest sale of its type in the auction firm’s history.

The vehicles offered for auction were from Volkswagen Financial Services UK (VWFS) and attracted the attention of more than 1,000 different buyers who logged bids via BCA Live Online during the one-day sale.

All three physical auction lanes were running simultaneously, with lane one featuring Seat and Skoda products, Volkswagen in lane two and Audi in lane three. 

The event sold more than 950 vehicles, equivalent to a 94.5% conversion and an average value of 101.64% of CAP Clean. 

On the same day, VWFS announced a partnership with epyx to digitally remarket unsold vehicles at a discounted price.

Martin Woollam, general manager remarketing at VWFS, said: “BCA delivered massive buying power for this special, record-breaking sale with hundreds of buyers participating as the sale progressed.  

"There was confident bidding throughout the event, underlining that the combination of attractive stock and an engaged buyer base generates exceptional results.”

Sales proceeds exceeded £12.6 million with an average selling price in excess of £13,300.
