Sell My Classic launches consumer-to-trade sales platform

A new online classic car sales platform has launched at, linking private sellers directly to classic car dealers.

The new site allows sellers to offer their car in a one-day sale to hundreds of approved classic car dealers.

Sell My Classic has no upfront costs, no buyer fee and a 4% (plus VAT) seller fee.

Rob Wittridge, Sell My Classic managing director, said: “Until now, Classic car owners have had limited options when it comes to selling their classic car successfully - offers an easy, discreet and professional service to quickly sell a classic car and achieve a great sale price.

“The platform is completely online, therefore we operate at a lower cost level than other routes to sale and are able to pass those savings directly on to our customers with our extremely low fee structure.”

The platform and process has been designed from the ground-up by a team of experts in the world of vehicle remarketing. Cars can be listed easily by the owners, with a simple and clear vehicle description and up to 100 images. Sell My Classic’s team of remarketing experts will then offer a free valuation, agree a reserve price and help improve the listing to ensure the seller receives the best possible return.

Sales are held fortnightly on a Tuesday from 8am-2pm – avoiding late evenings and weekends that can often limit the visibility to the trade and sometimes hamper other digital sales routes.

All registered buyers meet strict criteria and pass in-house checks to ensure they meet the trading standard set by Sell My Classic. This, along with a third party review system, ensures a safe and professional service is had by the seller. The seller can expect a fast payment and a Covid safe collection within seven days of the sale.
