Two members of WR Davies Nissan Stafford’s sales team are gearing up to climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) three times in 24 hours to raise money for Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance (CCPA Stafford).

Chris Powell, sales manager at WR Davies Nissan Stafford, and Leigh Burnham, a sales executive at the business, will need to cover 25 miles and ascend more than 3,000 metres in total.

The triple trek – dubbed Three Peaks in One – is scheduled to take place on June 21.

The campaign has raised £660 so far on its way to a £2,000 target.

Powell said: ‘‘The main reason we chose a Staffordshire charity was because we wanted to do something for the local community.

"Tackling Snowdon three times should take us around 17 hours and I must admit it’s quite a daunting prospect!

‘‘After chatting to representatives of CCPA Stafford, however, and finding out about the incredible work they do, Leigh and I became even more determined to crack on and complete the challenge we have set ourselves."

‘CCPA Stafford provides essential care and support to children in Staffordshire diagnosed with cancer. These young people face unimaginably tough journeys that they embark on step by step.

Powell added: "The least we can do is take a few steps of our own — one foot in front of the other – in their honour.

‘‘This isn’t just about climbing a mountain. It’s about standing with families in Stafford, Cannock and neighbouring towns and villages, who need hope, help and healing.

‘‘All donations will directly support the work of CCPA Stafford, funding emotional care, family support, transport to treatment, and much more for children facing cancer in our region.

‘‘We hope as many people as possible will support us and help us hit our £2,000 target!’’
