The all-new vehicle is powered by a choice of 4.4-litre petrol V8 and 3.0-litre turbodiesel six-cylinder engines and will come with full-time four-wheel drive and uses independent front and rear suspension.
Bob Dover, chairman and chief executive officer of Land Rover, said: “This will be the most capable vehicle in the world given its outstanding breadth of on and off-road ability. The exterior is thoroughly modern yet retains all the distinctive Range Rover styling cues. We believe it is essential people instantly recognise the new vehicle as a Range Rover.”
The vehicle is being built on a new production line at Solihull and will be sold in 124 countries. Its world premier is planned for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.
