Stylish, fun, roomy and versatile, the Nissan Note is being pitched to appeal to families who want practicality without compromising on driving dynamics.

The car will be offered with four engine variants: a 1.4 (88bhp) or 1.6 (110bhp) petrol, available in automatic or manual, and the choice of two 1.5dCi diesels (developing 68bhp and 86bhp).

The Note boasts 13 storage areas, including one refrigerated compartment. Standard storage capacity is 280 litres, but slide the rear seats forward and lift the boot’s false-floor or ‘flexi-board’, and there’s potentially 437 litres of space.

With a 2.6-metre wheelbase, the Note is slightly more than four metres long, making it larger than the Modus from Alliance partner Renault.

UK sales expectations are 14,000 units a year with a price range of £11,000-£15,000.
