MG Rover has introduced two special editions of the 25 and 45, known as the Impression and Impression S.

The 25 Impression comes with a driver's airbag, stereo radio cassette, anti-theft alarm with engine immobiliser, power assisted steering, height adjustable steering wheel, tinted glass, 15-inch Octet alloy wheels and remote control central door locking as standard. Powered by a 1.4 16v engine, the three-door version is priced at £8,675 OTR and £9,175 for the five-door.

Also available is the 25 1.4 Impression S with air conditioning, electric front windows and a CD tuner. The three-door is £9,595 and five-door £10,095.

The Impression special editions are available across the 45 range, from the 1.4 16v to the 2.0 Turbo Diesel and in five-door and saloon variants.

Luxury features on the Impression include air conditioning, ABS, four airbags, alarm and immobiliser, CD tuner, electric windows and electrically operated door mirrors, while the Impression S has 15-inch Fission alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, front fog lights and a leather steering wheel and gearknob.

The 45 ranges in price from £11,495 to £14,695.

In keeping with every new Rover, the Impression models come with a three year/60,000 mile warranty. On registrations up to March 31, 2001, Rover 25 and 45 Impression ranges have the added benefit of three years free servicing.
