Subaru has released details of the prices and specification for the new 2002 Subaru Legacy and Outback Estates with savings of up to £1,755.

Prices start at £16,750 on the road for the Legacy 2.0-litre GL AWD estate and £19,995 for the 2.5-litre GX estate with the Outback prices starting from £21,250.

The range offers a larger grille and new bumpers, a new cloth trim for GL and GX and a new aluminium bonnet making the car 7kg lighter for improved steering response. The outback gains front rebound springs and new geometry for reduced body roll. Air-conditioning and a CD player are standard on all models.

The additional standard equipment levels, effectively represent a saving of £1,755 for the 2.0 GL, £1,550 for the 2.5 GX and £1,420 for the Outback compared to 1999 model year prices.
