Peugeot's Expert Tepee couldn’t have arrived at the AM office with better timing.

I needed to drive down to Birmingham for a party and having the luxury of an eight-seater meant that all my smelly friends travelled in comfort. I felt like a true taxi driver.

The boot was stuffed with duvets and pillows and we’d stocked up on loads of unhealthy food for such a short trip, which sat nicely in all the cubby holes.

I was worried about negotiating the mammoth size of the Expert, which is essentially a massive van with seats.

I'd never driven a car this big before but it handled pretty much like a normal car. Parking was…interesting, but it always is with me and my abysmal attempts at reverse bay parking were helped by the Expert’s reversing sensors.

On the way back from Birmingham a mix up at spaghetti junction meant we ended up heading further north, but the Expert’s manufacturer fitted sat nav soon got us back on course for Peterborough, via Northampton.

That's quite a lot of driving in one weekend for me and it wasn’t as taxing as I thought it was going to be in the Expert.

My van virginity is well and truly broken.
