Ford makes old parts available to independent workshops

Parts Plus, Ford's national network of specialist parts wholesaling dealers, is offering independent garages the opportunity to purchase, at reduced prices, obsolete stock which would normally be withdrawn from sale.

Acknowledging that many older Fords are serviced by independent workshops, the Ford Parts Distribution centre, Daventry, is offering the trade mechanical components, body panels and trim for cars, LCVs and trucks on the Parts Plus website, www.partsplus.co.uk.

Items range from complete Scorpio Cosworth 2.9i 24-valve engines, front spoilers for 1984-1988 Fiestas, CD autochangers for late Sierras and early Mondeos, through to Escort four-speed manual transmissions, Cortina silencers and P100 pick-ups. All parts are available to independent motor traders listed on the Ford Trade Register on a first come, first served basis through Parts Plus dealers.

To join the register go to www.partsplus.co.uk.
