Wayside Harley-Davidson has launched an innovative servicing offer in conjunction with its sister Volkswagen car dealership.

Customers at both outlets, based in Towcester, Northants, are being offered the chance to choose either a VW or Harley-Davidson, provided they have a licence, while their car or motorcycle is in for a service.

Mark Whitehead, Wayside Harley-Davidson general manager, developed the idea in an attempt to attract more people to have their Harleys and VWs serviced at the two dealerships.

“Having a choice of courtesy vehicle adds value to the service we provide,” he said. “It also benefits Wayside Volkswagen by allowing customers to test ride a legend from the motorcycle world – taking your car in for a service becomes a treat.”

Wayside is looking to expand the service later this year when the Harley-Davidson V-Rod goes on sale.

“We are looking to offer an Audi TT, provided by Wayside Audi, for service customers who own a V-Rod and vice versa,” said Mr Whitehead.

“Both vehicles are design icons and complement each other perfectly.”
