Richard Lawson Autologistics has launched a refurbishment and remarketing facility for dealers called Inspect and Collect.

The service manages dealers' buyback programmes, cutting costs at every stage of the loop, according to Rupert Llewellyn, Richard Lawson's head of remarketing services. “There are synergies in using a single point for the storing, reconditioning and remarketing of used vehicles,” he says. “We complete the loop for vehicle buybacks by inspecting, collecting, refurbishing and remarketing them with little or no intervention from the dealer who owns them.”

Llewellyn believes Inspect and Collect will appeal to multi-site dealers, who pay a fixed price depending on volume and marque.
