Nidd Vale Group has opened a £3.2m Mercedes-Benz sales and service centre in York.

The 27,000sq ft centre, opened by Mercedes-Benz UK director of passenger cars Dermot Kelly, features the carmaker's new architectural showroom concept, with five themed lifestyle areas such as urban and country living, into which the most appropriate model is displayed.

Richard Jackson, Nidd Vale Group chairman, says: “These premises will become the hub for our Mercedes-Benz operations throughout North Yorkshire.”

The group also has Mercedes outlets in Harrogate and plans to open a third showroom in Scarborough in July next year.
