A new vehicle rental company aimed at the “neglected” corporate and government sectors has been launched by former MG Rover senior executive John Granby.

He says 4-Rental will provide a “unique” service through a franchisee network. The Liverpool-based operation expects to purchase 4,000 vehicles in its first year and plans to promote itself as a means to enable manufacturers to reach a fresh database not currently targeted or under-exploited.

It will also offer short-term contract periods for customers, managing and controlling the rental process from delivery to collection.

“We have negotiated with more than a dozen different manufacturers who are keen to supply us,” says Granby.
