Mitsubishi Motors UK has posted an 8% sales increase in March compared to last year and a 13% increase compared to the first quarter of 2004.

Mitsubishi says its network of 144 dealers has attracted 11,274 new vehicle sales compared to 9,958 over the same period last year.

Colt sales rose to 1,535 in March. Sales were split between the Colt 5-door and 3-door 60:40 respectively.

The new Lancer achieved 753 sales, 110% of its model sales target for the quarter.

The Lancer Evolution VIII range sold 380 units sold so far this year, up 95% on the same period last year. The Grandis MPV reached 355 sales this year to date and holds 19% of the petrol MPV segment.
