Moorland Motors has moved from its Garstang Road East location in Blackpool to a new £4m facility on Whitehills Business Park.

Located next to junction four off the M55, the showroom holds up to 17 new vehicles and space inside has been divided up to house nine Vauxhalls, four Chevrolets and four Saabs. The latest CIS have been incorporated throughout the building.

Outside there is a display area for more than 100 used vehicles.

Peter Swire, managing director of Moorland Motors, says: “The new location, next to BMW, Mini, Honda and opposite B&Q, has increased our traffic dramatically, especially at weekends.

“We also saw a rise in our sales figures for October, our first full month at the site and our aim is to sell more than 1,000 new and 1,000 used vehicles in our first 12 months.”

In order to accommodate expansion of the business, a new 18-bay workshop plus one MoT facility, are included on the three-acre site.

“The management team and I aimed to create an ideal facility – and customer feedback so far is excellent.

“We have a team of dedicated staff here at Moorland Motors who are supporting the determination of the management team to make this new venture a great success,” says Swire. Designed by Bisset Adams, the construction of the new facility took 10 months.
