Proton has appointed eight new dealers so far this year already.

“Dealer recruitment is the key to Proton’s long term business success and we plan to have a total of 140 dealers by the end of 2007,” said Simon Park, general manager, sales and marketing Proton.

Proton also got the year off to a good start with sales for January up 82% on last year.

The new dealers are:
