Rory Harvey has been appointed managing director of Chevrolet UK following Andy Carroll's resignation.

Harvey has been with GM since starting his career with the organisation in 1989 as a graduate trainee. Following a number of roles in marketing, sales and aftersales, he joined Chevrolet UK in 2004 as sales director on the completion of an assignment as head of aftersales, GM Middle East.

Carroll has resigned from Chevrolet UK to further his career outside GM.

He rejoined GM in June 2002, following an earlier career with the organisation, in anticipation of the General Motors acquisition of Daewoo’s car operations later in that year. He was appointed managing director of GM Daewoo UK Ltd and led the creation of the new company and its dealer network, going on to launch the Chevrolet brand and integrate the operation into the GM UK and Ireland sales cluster.
