Prices are expected to start at £77,000, rising to £82,000 for the R8 with ‘R-tronic’ gearbox.
The R8 is powered by a mid-mounted 418bhp 4.2-litre V8 FSI petrol engine and reaches 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds. It goes on to a top speed of 187mph.
The order books will open at the end of this year.
