Dr Andreas Scleef, president of Seat, has decided to retire on September 30, coinciding with his 63rd birthday.

The boards of Audi and Seat have appointed Erich Schmitt as Seat’s new president with effect from October 1. Schmitt will also stay as a member of the executive committee of Audi.
