JATO Dynamics, the automotive data and intelligence provider has joined forces with Toyota Motor Marketing Europe, in the development of a new total cost of ownership tool.

The new software allows Toyota to review a vehicle’s purchase price, residual value, tax and insurance costs, service expenditures, maintenance, work and parts. Toyota will be able to compare its own products against eight competing OEMs in five countries across Europe.

Johan Verbois, fleet & re-marketing manager at Toyota, said: “In order to leverage our quality, durability and reliability we have looked for an accurate total cost of ownership calculation tool. As this did not seem to exist we looked for strong partners in order to make this happen.

“Working together with the three automotive data specialists provided us with a unique tool to improve our ability to communicate that Toyota meet the needs of fleet managers in reducing costs and giving users the critical information they need to choose the right vehicle.”
