Tim Head has joined Fiat Auto UK as network development director. Head, who has been with the Fiat Group for almost 20 years, joins from sister company Iveco where he most recently headed up the van manufacturers’ dealer development strategy.

Head has also worked in sales and marketing, business development, network planning and used vehicle operations.

Head will be responsible for liaising with current and potential dealer partners. Fiat’s network consists of 164 sites, with 28 open points. The carmaker hopes to have a network of 175 by the end of 2007.

Head says: “Our commercial priority will be to look at the larger volume territories first. I will also look at Fiat’s CI programme to ensure it is fully in place and uniform.”

Meanwhile, Adam Pumfrey has joined Fiat Auto UK as fleet director. Taking over from Tony Dittli, Pumfrey comes from Mazda Motors UK.

Replacing Pumfrey at Mazda Motors UK is James Hopkins, who arrives from Ford Financial Europe.
