Renault has created a special edition Clio with surf clothing specialist Rip Curl in a bid to attract younger buyers.

It is available in three and five-door versions, with two engine choices, the 1.2 16V 75 and the 1.5 dCi 68, the petrol three-door is priced at £9,595 while the five-door is £10,265. The diesel three-door is £10,595 with the five-door priced at £11,265.

The Clio Rip Curl is based on the Dynamique trim but has been customised by Rip Curl, which includes a the new body colour of ‘ice blue’.

Standard interior specification includes a radio CD MP3 compatible player, complete with a TunePoint connection point for MP3 players like Apple’s iPod or Creative’s Zen. Rip Curl graphics are included on the Clio’s tailgate, side mouldings, door sills, inserts on the dashboard, centre console and upholstery with Rip Curl tag on the front headrest.

Safety equipment includes ABS with EBD (electronic brake distribution), front lateral airbags, anti-drill door locks and multi-function trip computer.

The Clio Rip Curl is also offered with five option packs including the City Pack Plus which includes automatic lights and windscreen wipers, parking proximity sensors and a satellite navigation system for a total of £1,200.

The new Clio Rip Curl is available to order now priced from £9,595 and is available in three-door and five-door versions.
