Bristol Street Motors has relocated its Moseley Ford dealership in the west Midlands to a new location at Kings Norton.

The new 2.4-acre premises on Pershore Road South has undergone a £400,000 refurbishment. The site used to be a Mercedes-Benz dealership run by Falcon Motors.

Robert Forrester, chief executive of Vertu Motors, the parent company of Bristol Street, said: “The Moseley site was historic – it was actually a converted cinema. However, it was very outdated and we needed to move somewhere bigger.

“In Kings Norton we now have a superb location to deliver higher volumes, customer satisfaction and profitability,” he said.

The 2.4-acre dealership has room for an eight-car showroom and 100 used cars outside. It has 11 service bays and Vertu has sought planning permission to build an MoT bay.

Jonathan Browne, Kings Norton Ford general manager, successfully oversaw the relocation, which saw all 47 staff move to the new site. Browne will be recruiting some more sales staff.

Vertu acquired Blake Holdings, Grantham Motor Company and a Ford dealership in Morpeth this summer.
