The Italian manufacturer has been working with Prodrive over the past year to tune the handling of its Brera coupe, specifically for the British market.
Cars will be delivered to Alfa Romeo dealers this weekend.
The changes to the Brera S have been signed off from Alfa Romeo’s engineering department in Italy.
Peter Cambridge, Prodrive project leader, said: "It’s a car that 'shrinks' around the driver and delivers all the fun and engagement of a sports car driving experience on A and B-roads.
"Yet, on motorways, it offers a compliant and composed ride."
Production of the Alfa Brera S will be limited to 500 numbered cars that will include further enhancements to the exterior and interior of the car.
Power comes from a choice of two existing direct injection petrol engines – the 185bhp 2.2 JTS and the 260bhp 3.2 V6 JTS.
