Nissan Note gets sporty diesel

Nissan has retuned its 1.5 diesel engine to offer a higher 101bhp output version for its new Note model range.

The new engine will be available on the new Acenta S model, which replaces the Acenta R and slots in between the Acenta and top of the range Tekna, which will also get the new engine.

Prices for the Acenta S and Tekna with the 101bhp diesel are £14,245 and £14,995 respectively.

For a £400 premium over the Acenta trim, the new Acenta S features climate control air conditioning, six CD autochanger with auxiliary jack to hook up an MP3, automatic headlights and wipers and Nissan’s “intelligent key” which allows automatic locking and unlocking.

Customers can choose from four body colours for the Acenta S: silver, pearl black, metallic blue and solid flame red.

Acenta S is offered with all four engine options – 1.4 and 1.6-litre petrol and 84bhp and 101bhp 1.5 dCi diesel engines.
