How did you get into the automotive business?
Worked for National Car Rental for several years and then joined Snap-on Tools.

What does your job entail?
Attracting new prospects to the Snap-on franchise opportunity by raising the company profile and keeping the 420 strong franchisee network up to date with legislation which might affect their business.

How will your job change over the next few years?
It is ever changing as I try to find new and innovative ways of attracting the best people to become a Snap-on franchisee.

What advice would you give to people planning to join the industry?
Do your research and make sure this industry is for you as it can be demanding – but the rewards are well worthwhile.

What is the worst career move you’ve ever made?
Have not made one as yet.

My current position at Snap-on is the best thing I ever did.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?
Hopefully still at Snap-on.

Thomas the Tank Engine and friends – my two-year-old son loves it, so I have to as well.
