Citroën will expand its retail group to fill open points if other suitable dealers can not be found.

Communications director Mark Raven (pictured) said: “If a location comes up and we can’t find a suitable partner and the retail group has to take it on, then so be it.”

Important open points continue to be in urban areas where property is expensive, added Raven.

Citroën Retail Group currently has 12 sites.

The French carmaker, which holds its UK dealer convention in November, is pulling back from cashback advertising and is focusing on pushing products instead.

New products like C3 and DS3 will further bolster the brand, said Raven.

He added C3, which goes on sale ahead of DS3 in early spring next year, will offer high returns for the network.
