Manor Oak, the Scottish company created from the remnants of Glenvarigill, has also ceased trading.

Manor Oak's two Peugeot dealerships went bust in October.

Now AM has learned that its two remaining dealerships, both with Honda franchises, have come under new ownership.

The Perth outlet was bought by West End Garage, which already represents Honda in Dundee, while the Aberdeen site was bought by Town & County group, a new partner for Honda, earlier this month.

Manor Oak was formed in 2007 by Glenvarigill finance director Kevin Lamb using dealerships bought from the one-time major Scottish motor retailer.
