Coventry-based Lumley Auto, the automotive insurance supplier, has changed its name to Global Insurance Management.

Current manufacturer clients include Harley-Davidson, Buell, Jaguar, Land Rover, JCB and Suzuki.

The company has been supplying insurance products to the automotive sector for over 30 years and was subject to a change of management just over five years ago when John Gilbert purchased the business from Peter Lumley in 2004.

During that time the annual turnover has grown from £3 million to almost £20 million.

Global Insurance Management has AXA Insurance as its underwriting partner, which has helped it to build operations throughout Europe and the Middle East.

There will be no managerial changes as a result of the name change. Gilbert, managing director will continue to be fully supported by his senior management team; Peter Robinson, Mike Miller, Barry Rowlands, Graham Hodkinson and Allan Steele.

Global Insurance Management has relaunched its website www.globalim.co.uk - complete with policy registration, regular industry news and a new quarterly FSA newsletter highlighting key notes within the industry.
