Japan leaves recession

Japan’s economy has come out of the recession after its economy grew slightly by 0.9% between April and June.

The growth comes after four consecutive quarters of contraction and has been put down to the Japanese government’s stimulus package.

Recent figures show that Germany, France and Hong Kong are all out of the recession too, which indicates that the global downturn is starting to slow.
