Alfa Romeo has introduced a new-entry-level Mito to the line-up for less than £11,000.

The Italian manufacturer has recently raised the prices of the Mito but the new edition allows the company to offer the base spec Mito Junior as a rival to the Mini First.

The Mito Junior will be priced under the £11,000 mark at just £10,995 - almost the same price as the new Mini First.

Like the Mini First, power has been reduced from the standard engine - in the case of the Mito from 95bhp to 78 bhp - but unlike the Mini, the Mito still has air conditioning as standard.

Specification is similar to the 1.4-litre Turismo model but the Junior has unique design wheel trims and does without the DNA adaptive chassis - allowing the drive to switch between different levels of responsiveness - of the rest of the range.
