Almost half (43%) of motorists in a What Car? poll have no faith in any of the main political parties.

A total of 1,238 motorists voted in the Whatcar.com poll between April 6 and April 13.

The poll asked - what political party would serve the motorist best, with the Conservatives getting the highest level of support out of the main three.

• 5% Liberal Democrats
• 11% Labour
• 37% Conservatives
• 43% none of the above
