Brand expert joins Audi during search for permanent marketing head

Philip Olden has become Audi UK's interim head of market while a permanent successor is sought for Peter Duffy. Audi 2011 interim head of marketing Philip Olden

Audi describes Olden as a premium brands expert who has held a number of senior marketing roles across a range of prestige and luxury international brands.

Most recently he worked in the jewellery industry, however between 1994 and 2000 he worked at Inchcape.

He is currently working at Audi alongside Duffy, who will hand over his responsibilities before leaving the company during February.

Olden is reporting directly to Jeremy Hicks, director of Audi UK.

Hicks said: “We have decided to take our time to secure our long term replacement for Peter Duffy, who has had a tremendous impact on our communications standards over the last three years.

“We are very fortunate to have the considerable expertise of Philip Olden with us for as long as it takes to identify our permanent candidate and we shall be taking full advantage of his prestige brand skills during the time he is here.”
