Andrew West, Vauxhall's retail network development director, has become the carmaker's aftersales director.

West has 13 years under his belt at Vauxhall, including the last 10 in network and franchising operations.

He now takes responsibility for all Vauxhall UK & Opel Ireland aftersales, sales and marketing and warehouse operations.

Replacing him in the retail network director post is Andy Robson. Robson has been with Vauxhall for 26 years, recently as national retail sales manager. Andy Robson Vauxhall network development director

West said: "Aftersales is a vital area of the business and with Lifetime Warranty I’m looking forward to raising the bar even further in the market place and providing the highest levels of service.”

Robson said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for me to oversee Vauxhall’s retail network during an important time in the company’s history."

Both report directly to Duncan Aldred, Vauxhall’s managing director.
