Sub prime specialist ACF Car Finance has appointed two divisional sales managers, saying the appointments will maintain its expansion.

Norman Beaumont, sales and marketing director, said: “They will focus on optimising sales across all sites.

"We believe splitting sales responsibility between north and south will enhance the management of a wide geographical area.

“We have recorded substantial profits over the past three years and expect continued long-term growth.”

Peter Lloyd, who joined ACF in 1999, managed the company’s Maidstone, Kent, outlet before promotion to southern divisional sales manager.

John Parks, now responsible for sales in the Midlands and north of England, was previously in charge of ACF’s West Midlands dealership at Willenhall, near Walsall.

He joined the ACF from school as a car cleaner.

ACF prospered after the collapse of sub-prime finance rivals during the recession.

Beaumont believes ACF is well positioned to increase loans to people with credit records impaired for many reasons far removed from being poor credit risks.

“The number of people unable to obtain finance from mainstream lenders is growing and increasingly affecting those in the upper salary brackets,” he said.
