Chevrolet will add a flagship saloon model called the Malibu to its European line-up next year.
However, it’s not yet known if the Malibu is destined to reach UK showrooms as a halo model.
The Malibu is being positioned against more expensive saloons on the market in terms of quality and customers will be able to choose from two 4-cylinder gasoline or diesel-fueled engines with 2.0-litre and 2.4-litre displacements and a power output of 164bhp and 169bhp, respectively. A manual and automatic transmission will be available from launch.
More details are expected to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show which starts on September 13.
