Renault has launched Pzaz special editions as bare essentials rock-bottom priced cars to win over cash-conscious retail customers.

They include a five-door Megane Pzaz priced just £9,995 - that's £3,500 less than the cheapest Kia Cee'd, a value-priced C-segment benchmark.

It comes with a 1.6-litre 100bhp petrol engine, wheel trims, plus basic comforts such as air-con, electric heated mirrors and CD/MP3 player with aux-in.

Renault is also promoting a Twingo Pzaz at £6,795 plus a £199 three-year service plan, and a Clio Pzaz in three- or five-door guise for £7,995 or £8,595 respectively.
