Good and Getting Better

NIIB & Northridge Finance the Bank of Ireland’s Motor Finance Division, carried out a survey of its intermediary base in August of this year. It s good to see in this age of price, price and more price, customer service is still on their agenda.

Alan Carson, NIIB & Northridge Finance’s Sales Director reported, “This was an important piece of work, one that gave us real feedback from the people that interact with us every day. We asked various questions around our service within the business, like payouts, processing, underwriting and other support functions and I’m very pleased to say on the whole the feedback was excellent”

Carson elaborated further saying “over 78% of our products and service was rated good or excellent, over 80% liked the speed of our payout, more than 75% were impressed with our underwriting efficiency and importantly more than 50% thought we were getting better or much better”

Alan also emphasised “Whilst we’re delighted with this endorsement of our service versus our competitors, we will not be standing still. Understandably we have areas where we can improve and that will be the focus over the next 6 months. We will then carry out the same survey and assess our progress”

We have 20% growth planned in 2012 and whilst being able to compete on price is vital, long term relationships demand superior service alongside this”

Take up of the NIIB & Northridge Finance survey was good with 407 respondents from just over 4000 invited to take part. No doubt the high take up was linked to the draw for 1 of 2 Apple iPads, nonetheless, it’s a ringing endorsement.

Carson closed the interview commenting “The lucky iPads winners were Kirsteen Wareham of Town & County in Aberdeen and David McHugh of Hunters Landrover in Guildford.
