Hendy Group, which has 20 sites across the south of England, has invested in upgrading its Ford Ford and Kia showroom in Portsmouth and its Mazda, Ford and Honda facilities in Winchester.

Group managing director Paul Hendy said the company, which became Britain’s first Ford dealer in 1910, was committed to a programme of ongoing investment "to provide customers, and staff, with the highest quality facilities".

The Portsmouth showroom features a larger showroom, improved used car facilities and upgraded customer service areas.

The Winchester showroom upgrades include a new Mazda and Ford sales operation and dedicated Honda workshop.

Hendy said: "The investment we have made at these two sites reflects the company’s commitment to providing top class facilities for all of the manufacturers we represent.

“Feedback from customers has been positive with particular praise for the light, airy and friendly facilities and the staff have been equally enthusiastic about the results of our investment.’’

The group operates from 20 sites across southern England with a workforce of more than 625 staff and a turnover in excess of £250 million a year.
