A car showroom opened in a shopping centre has taken 20 orders on its opening day, said staff.
Luxury eco carmaker Tesla opened its New York outlet at the Roosevelt Field Shopping Mall on Friday, the first of 10 planned for North America.
The outlet displays just one car.
