A new online customer service website, carbuyingadvisor.co.uk, has now launched following a three month trial.

The service launches into a market which now features rivals like Revoo and JudgeService.

Over 100 dealers have signed up to the service.

John Scott, director of Carbuyingadvisor.co.uk, said: “While there are many used car sites available to buyers, they offer little help in differentiating a dealership on customer service.

“In reality, cars are a commodity and researching online for make, model and price is simple and transparent. It’s knowing which dealers to trust that is currently much harder.”

Scott believes just adding the odd customer testimonial to a dealer website “just doesn’t cut it with customers”.

He said: “Customers not only want to know that the company they are buying from has a good reputation, but that the sales executive who is giving them advice is trustworthy too.

“It has been shown in other market sectors that being able to prove creditability online and via social media, in real time, is now essential.”

Dealers that have signed up for the service are able to respond to all reviews posted, as well as provide details of their business websites. Currently unlisted dealerships are added when consumers provide the details with their reviews.
