John Clark Motor Group has acquired four dealerships in Scotland from Pendragon, representing the Land Rover and Jaguar franchises, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition includes Land Rover sites in Perth and Cupar and Jaguar showrooms in Edinburgh and Perth.

All 101 staff transfer across to John Clark Motor Group.

John Clark, John Clark Motor Group chairman and managing director, said: “Land Rover Pentland has been our only car dealership in the Scottish capital to date but this will change with the addition of the Jaguar dealership.

“We are further adding to the Pentland arm of our business and cementing our presence in the Central Belt with the addition of the Land Rover dealerships in Perth and Cupar and the Perth Jaguar site.”

Last year’s financial performance was the third consecutive record year for John Clark Motor Group and pushed the group into the top 30 of the AM100.
