North West based, Swansway Group, has risen up the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 for the fifth consecutive year.

The family owned and run group entered the Top Track 250 in 2010 at 190th and had improved its position year-on-year, with a position of 58th this year.

Published this weekend, the annual league table ranks Britain's leading private mid-market growth companies with the biggest sales.

Carl Williams, North West managing partner of Grant Thornton UK LLP, one of the sponsors of the Top Track 250, praised the North West based companies for their performance: “Our region is home to some of Europe’s most dynamic businesses and the success of North West firms is rightly celebrated by Top Track 250. The mid-market is a powerful engine for the UK economy”.

Director at Swansway Peter Smyth said: “It’s great to see that as well as growing year on year, we are outperforming the market and rising up the Top Track 250 too.

It gives us an immense amount of pleasure and pride, that this performance is driven by the caring, honest and proud culture of our business.”
