VT Holdings buys Griffin Mill Garages

VT Holdings, a listed Japanese motor group, has acquired Pontypridd-based Griffin Mill Garages. Griffin Mill represents Fiat, Kia, Nissan and Peugeot as well as being an authorised repairer for Renault at two sites.

CCR and Griffin Mill managing director Tim Bagnall said: "This acquisition is a perfect fit with the current operations in terms of position and complimentary franchises.

"Griffin Mill has a strong local brand identity, a fantastic reputation with their customers and their franchise partners. VT is looking to expand in the UK and this gives us a broader foundation to do that.”

VT Holdings bought Mitsubishi Motors UK's 11 sited retail group Colt Car Retail Group (CCR) in March 2012.

The latest acquisition will take combined turnover in the UK to £120 million. CCR's 2013 turnover was £41.8m.

VT Holdings geographic spread now reaches from London and has been extended westwards across the Bristol Channel into Wales with this move.
