Planning officials have approved proposals to convert a showroom vacated by Marshall Motor Group into a mini-supermarket.
The former Marshall Vauxhall site in St Mary's Street, Ely, is the subject of an application by KDM Enterprises for change of use into a retail and business hub.
The unit has sat empty for more than a year, reports the Ely Standard newspaper.
According to the plans, the premises would includes retail floor space, a warehouse, a food preparation area, offices and a staff room.
