Lancaster Toyota Colchester, part of Jardine Motor Group, has moved to a brand new eco-friendly site after outgrowing their previous location.

The £3 million building on Axial Way, Colchester, has many environmentally friendly features and an improved customer experience.

“The move gives our Toyota customers one of the very best facilities in the country,” said general manager Tim Brownsdon.

Eco-friendly measures incorporated into the design to make the building more efficient, includes lighting, heating, ventilation and cooling systems centrally controlled and designed for efficiency.

Solar panels are installed on the roof, providing extra power to the site and allowing Lancaster to re-sell any surplus energy back to the grid, and rain water is captured and recycled for use across the dealership including the valeting of customers’ vehicles.

The new site is also more customer friendly than the previous one with additional parking spaces, and a customer lounge with free refreshments and wifi.

There are also more cars for customers to view and choose from.  Customers from outside Colchester can now access the showroom more easily from the A12, and through a new link road being built between Mill Road and Axial Way.
