Infiniti is set to appoint seven authorised repairers to provide support to its current dealer network.

The Japanese premium brand has achieved more sales in H1 of 2016 than the entire of last year – 9,535, 177% up on the first half of 2015 – and will open a series of aftersales locations before the end of August.

Preston and Oxford will open up in late July, followed by Carlisle, Rochdale, Wolverhampton, Chester, and Mill Hill (London) in August.

A further 10 authorised repairers are targeted to be open by the end of FY2016, giving a total of 18.

The authorised repairers are able to carry out warranty and service work to all Infiniti vehicles, as well as sell Infiniti approved used vehicles.

Barry Beeston, UK director for Infiniti UK, said: “I am pleased to welcome all the new authorised repairers to the Infiniti network.

“It is great to get a much wider coverage of the brand across the UK.

“The new authorised repair network will support our main sales centres but more importantly they provide our customers with the ability to get their vehicles serviced and maintained closer to where they are located.”

Infiniti’s current goal is to reach 26 dealers and 18 authorised repairers within five years.
