Autodata has launched Service Advisor, a tool to help support front-of-house staff quoting and estimating for customers.

After selecting the vehicle by model or licence plate number, the user can bring up a one-page view of all replacement intervals and service times.

Clicking on a specific service interval brings up-model specific options which may factor into the quote, says the company.

Solera Holdings acquired Autodata in 2017 to “digitise vehicle ownership”.

Bodyshop management system firm InSyPro has been acquired by Solera, in the latest deal to expand the supplier of automotive risk and asset management data and software.

Michael Landless, head of product at Autodata, said: “Service Advisor offers the possibility to transform your front-of-house experience by giving staff the ability to instantly visualise where a car is in its service lifespan, using our trusted OEM-supplied data.

“They can select a service option and get an instant labour time quote and show the customer any upcoming services that could be carried out then and there.

“It’s also time saved, not just for the front desk, but for technicians who can concentrate on the jobs that make money for the business.”

Autodata said the tool has been in beta-test with a limited selection of users and has now seen a general roll-out and will replace the Service Summary module.

Service Advisor will appear as an option for users of both the Autodata Service and Maintenance and Diagnostic and Repair packages for cars and vans and is available across all workshop application languages.

A Service Advisor API has also been made available to customers using Autodata technical data.

Service Advisor can be used on desktop and touchscreen devices.
